The Dishwasher plays a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and efficiency of the kitchen environment in a hotel, restaurant, or catering setting. This position is essential for ensuring that all dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment are properly cleaned and sanitized, allowing the culinary team to focus on food preparation and service. Duties

• Operate dishwashing equipment to clean dishes, pots, pans, and utensils efficiently.
• Maintain cleanliness of the dishwashing area and ensure all items are properly stored after cleaning.
• Assist with bussing tables and clearing away used dishes to facilitate a smooth dining experience.
• Follow proper food handling procedures to ensure safety and sanitation standards are met.
• Support kitchen staff with additional cleaning tasks as needed, including sweeping and mopping floors.
• Report any maintenance issues or equipment malfunctions to management promptly.

Skills

• Previous experience in food service or kitchen environments such as hotels, restaurants, or catering is preferred.
• Familiarity with food handling practices and sanitation guidelines.
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
• Strong teamwork skills with a willingness to help others in the kitchen as needed.
• Good communication skills to effectively interact with team members and management.
• Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift heavy items when necessary.
