Job Description

The Gilmer County Board of Commissioners has an for 1 Full-Time Facilities Maintenance Worker.

High School/GED required. This position performs general maintenance and repair work on buildings, equipment, grounds, and related facilities:  performs skilled, semi-skilled, and manual work involving building maintenance, building construction, carpentry, painting, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, heating and air conditioning, sign maintenance, custodial, or other maintenance projects.  Must maintain valid state of Georgia driver’s license.  Excellent work ethic required.  Must be responsible, reliable and punctual.

Scheduled work time is 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. Benefits package including medical, dental, vision, life, 457(b)/401(a) and more.  Applicants will be required to submit to a post offer criminal history background check, motor vehicle report and pre-employment drug screen.
