SECURITY/PATROL FOR GATED COMMUNITY
GENERAL: The Security Department is responsible for providing unarmed security, monitoring and restricting gate entry, rules enforcement, community safety, employee safety and protection of owners and common property.
DEFINITION: Under the general direction of the security supervisor, you are responsible for the day to day security/patrol duties.
EQUIPMENT/JOB LOCATION: Must be able to work in the security office and in a patrol vehicle and must be able to use a computer, printer, copier, scanner, telephone, hand held radio and fax machine.
WORK HOURS/WORK WEEK: The work week does not normally exceed 40 hours per week. The Security Patrol Supervisor may sometimes have to respond to on call situations. The Security Patrol Supervisor is required to work in the security office and in a security vehicle during regular business hours. This position is required to be available 24 hours a day by phone communications incase of an emergency, unless on vacation or out of town and will then delegate a substitute.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
General office procedures including mailing, emailing, copying, filing, faxing and using a computer.
Providing customer service to property owners, visitors, contractors and other employees.
Answering general questions related to the position.
Answering telephone and responding to voicemails.
Create reports, letters and using Microsoft Word & Excel.
Investigates job related incidents and reports them to the Security Supervisor.
Maintains a working environment conducive to positive morale, individual styles, quality customer service, and teamwork.
Assist in special events.
Performs other related duties as assigned by the Supervisor.
Respond to owner’s complaints, evaluate the situation and take appropriate action
May be responsible for training of new personnel
Must learn and follow CRRA Rules & Regulations, Construction Guidelines, department rules, Board policies and employee handbook.
Responsible for verifying your vehicle is properly checked by patrol supervisor prior to the start of each shift, properly cleaned and fueled.
Must check that you have the proper equipment and supplies you need to do your job.
Must see that Radios and Phones are in good working order.
Have the ability to drive company vehicle, replace gate arms, carry sawhorses and start generator.
Must be able to install AWID windshield tags, ATV tags and issue parking permits.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: Employee must have a high school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent, 2 years of experience in customer service and security or a combination of education, experience and training that provided the required knowledges, skills and abilities to perform the job.
KNOWLEDGES, SKILLS AND ABILITIES NEEDED:
