Their wines are primarily made with vinifera varietal grapes purchased from growers in the Grand Valley Viticultural Area located in Western Colorado. We developed a taste for wine in the late '70s when we got together with friends to explore wines. Our passion for wine grew more serious when John dug a wine cellar in our basement by hand and planted vines in our backyard in Boulder. We soon had a cellar of more than 200 bottles of wine and John made his first Zinfandel in 1981 from Californian grapes\, officially starting in the winemaking business in 1999. We now own and manage 33 acres of vineyard consisting of Chardonnay\, Viognier\, Riesling\, Muscat Blanc\, Orange Muscat\, Merlot\, Cabernet Sauvignon\, Cabernet Franc\, Syrah and Black Muscat. \n \n\nCottonwood Cellars \nCottonwood Cellars is a family owned winery with a vineyard\, Cottonwood Vineyards. The Owners are Keith\, Winemaker and Diana\, marketing\, Read. The winery began operation in 1994. The first grape vines were planted in 1995 across 5 acres and has increased yearly to the current 22.5 acres. A new building was added in 1998 for barrel aging\, case good storage\, and the tasting room. The winery now produces 3700 to 4000 cases of wine from seven different varieties.\n \nD’Vine Wine \nA a boutique winery\, D'Vine Wine specializing in custom wines made from the highest quality varietals. They acquired Garfield Estates from the granddaughter of the family that originally homesteaded the land well over 100 years ago. From the very beginning they wanted to create a premium winery while also retaining the historic aspects of this property. Their winery is renovated from the original barn and incorporates this historic building into a modern winemaking facility. Currently they have 11 acres planted with five different varieties of grapes: Syrah\, Viognier\, Sauvignon Blanc\, Semillon\, and Muscat Ottonel.\n \nTwo Rivers \nLocated in the Redlands area of Grand Junction\, we offer wines of the noble varieties\, which can be tasted and purchased in the intimate setting of our tasting room.
