Bring your favourite pet or pets to the 31st annual St. Frances’ Day Animal Blessing at St. Luke’s Church, Blue Ridge. Set for Sunday, Oct. 6, at 3 p.m., the event will be held under and around the church pavilion.
Animals of all kinds, from gold fish to lamas, are welcomed so long as they can be safely controlled by their owners.
The annual event affirms truths taught in Genesis, namely: God is creator of all things and humans are called to be wise caretakers of God’s creation.
St. Luke’s, a traditional Anglican Church declaring the whole counsel of God’s Word, is located at 7 Ewing St., across form the Kiwanis Club Fairgrounds and Community Centre. The Rev. Victor H. Morgan is rector.
