Event Description:
2-day class Join artist Micah Goguen for this 2 day workshop on how to build depth and texture to your substrates. We will meet Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. The costs of the workshop is $100 and there is a $45 supply fee which includes your panels and canvases and all other materials. You do not have to bring anything except for your color references. If you do not have any or change your mind, there will be several there to choose from. Micah will be providing items such as collage papers, pastes, inks and other materials to help guide you into building surfaces. The objective of this workshop is to intuitively build depth and texture using basic color theories and composition. You can allow your pieces to stand alone but Micah will also be showing us how to transfer and create representational objects to our built surfaces. You don’t need art experience to take this workshop, it is accommodating for all levels. Goguen will review several products and do demonstrations throughout the course. We will have a 30 minute break for lunch each day. You may bring a lunch so we can commune together at the center. Space is limited to 12 seats. Minimum of 5 students required.
