Job Description
Gilmer County Board of Commissioners Planning and Zoning is recruiting for a full time "Permit Technician".  The purpose of this position is to accept and issue land development and construction permits, sign permits; receives, verifies, and distributes all incoming plans and documents related to land development permitting, calculating permit fees; evaluate computer records on various permits being processed; receive request for inspections answers telephone and assists callers with application, permit and technical questions and concerns; research, review and copy vaious documentation as required; provide administrative assistance; and perform other related duties as assigned.

Hours are Monday through Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.

Applicants will be required to submit to a post offer criminal history/background check and drug screen.
